Cerezo Osaka Matchday Guide

Transportation

Yodoko Stadium is one of the best connected J.League stadiums in the country. It's served by two separate lines and walkable from four different stations.

JR Hanwa Line train at Tennoji Station

JR - Hanwa Line

The JR Hanwa Line connects to Yodoko Stadium via Tsurugaoka Station and Nagai Station. This is a good option if you're using the JR Pass.

This train originates at Tennoji Station, so it's very likely you'll need to change there.

If you're coming from the north, you can take this line from Tennoji for three stops, getting off at Tsurugaoka Station. From there, it is a very short walk to the stadium. This station is done up in Cerezo colours, with photos of the players lining the walls and you'll really start to feel the atmosphere. Depending on the time, you should also be able to hear the buzz of the stadium and the Cerezo fans singing as you come out of the station.

The other option is to get off at JR Nagai Station. This is the heart of Cerezo and a great place to grab some lunch or dinner before the game. It is around a 15-minute walk from the station to the stadium.

Advantages:

Free if you have the JR Pass

Tsurugaoka Station is the closest station to the stadium

Subway - Midosuji Line

The subway is super convenient and my preferred option when coming from the north. Trains are more frequent and therefore not as busy as JR.

It is also a great option if you're coming from Umeda or Namba areas, as you do not have to change train.

You have two options to get off the train: Nishitanabe Station or Nagai Station. Both are roughly an equidistant walk to the stadium and provide some different options in terms of food and drink.
